IDEA

From CryptoDox, The Online Encyclopedia on Cryptography and Information Security

IDEA is the acronym for the International Data Encryption Algorithm. It is a block cipher that was designed by Xuejia Lai (來學嘉) and James L. Massey of ETH-Zürich. It has a block size of 64-bits and a key size of 128-bits.

IDEA's claim to fame was its adoption by PGP; it is an optional algorithm in OpenPGP.
